Sanaa downs US drone, vows continued operations supporting Palestine
The Yemeni army spokesperson confirms the armed force's legitimate right to defend the country and thwart all threats against it.
The Yemeni Armed Forces downed on Wednesday a US MQ-9 drone that was carrying out spy activities in support of the Israeli occupation entity, spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced.
In a statement, Saree stressed that no hostilities will deter Yemen from carrying out operations against the Israeli occupation entity in support of the oppressed Palestinian people.
Furthermore, the Yemeni spokesperson said the drone was targeted over Yemen's territorial waters using appropriate weapons, confirming the army's legitimate right to defend the country and thwart all threats against it.

Yemen has launched several attacks against the Israeli occupation since the entity's aggression on Gaza started.
The latest attack was on Monday when the Yemeni Armed Forces announced launching a large barrage of drones toward several Israeli sites in occupied Palestine.
Saree confirmed in a statement then that the drones reached their intended targets. As a result, the bases and airports that were targeted went out of service for several hours, he added.
Sanaa repeatedly underlined that the Yemeni Armed Forces will continue to carry out military operations in support of Palestinians until the Israeli brutal aggression on Gaza stops.
