Saudi coalition prevents 4 ships from reaching Al-Hudaydah: Sanaa
The official spokesman for the Yemeni Petroleum Company, Issam Al-Mutawakel, confirms that "the Saudi-US coalition of aggression, in clear disregard for the human suffering of the Yemeni people, detained 4 fuel ships despite their forced searches in Djibouti."
The Saudi-led coalition, which continues to impose a siege on the coast of Yemen, "detained 4 fuel ships and prevented them from reaching the port of Al-Hudaydah," the Sanaa government revealed.
"The US-Saudi coalition of aggression, in clear disregard for the human suffering of the Yemeni people, detained 4 fuel ships despite being subject to forced inspection in Djibouti," Issam Al-Mutawakel, the official spokesman for the Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC), said in an interview with the Yemeni News Agency Saba.
"The detained ships include the gasoline ship Sea Adore, the diesel ship Golf Aetos and the two diesel ships Princess Khadija and Soprano Sirene," Al-Mutawakkel pointed out.
The YPC's spokesperson held the coalition of aggression and the United Nations fully responsible for the damages resulting from the blockade. He also called on "the international community, the Security Council, and human rights and humanitarian organizations to put pressure on the coalition of aggression and the United Nations to release fuel ships and prevent piracy on them."
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said Wednesday when he received the head of the Sanaa negotiating delegation Mohammed Abdul-Salam, in the Omani capital, Muscat, that Iran would continue supporting the Yemeni people to obtain their demands.
Amir-Abdullahian praised the Yemeni people for their steadfastness, further lauding their determination to "reach their goals," and affirming the Islamic Republic's "continued support for Yemen."
The Iranian foreign minister stressed the need to "reach peaceful solutions to the Yemeni crisis," highlighting how it was "necessary to put an end to the blockade imposed on Yemen and deal with the issue in a humanitarian manner."
In the same context, a member of the political bureau of the Ansar Allah movement, Ali Al-Qahoum, said that the US and UK are hindering peace in Yemen and warned of the consequences of the failure to achieve peace.
