Leader of Ansar Allah, Sayyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi, affirmed on Thursday that Yemeni forces remain on “full alert and complete readiness” as the implementation phase of the Gaza ceasefire begins. He emphasized that Yemen will continue to strengthen its role in supporting the Palestinian people, stressing that “the path of support and assistance must remain in steady and growing escalation.”
In a televised address marking the second anniversary of Operation al-Aqsa Flood and discussing the ongoing developments in Gaza, Sayyed al-Houthi said, “What we wish for is the cessation of the genocide against the Palestinian people and the enemy’s commitment to the ceasefire in Gaza; that was our goal from the fronts of support.”
He stated that the agreement on Gaza “proves the failure of the Israeli enemy and its American backer to achieve the goals they sought to impose during this round of aggression,” describing the American role as “destructive.” Sayyed al-Houthi declared that “the enemy failed to recover its captives without a prisoner exchange, failed to eliminate the resistance, and failed to carry out the forced displacement of the Palestinian people.”
Calling for vigilance, Sayyed al-Houthi urged “the highest levels of caution and readiness” and stressed the importance of maintaining momentum in support of Palestine. “This stage is both critical and historic, and standing by the Palestinian people remains necessary even under pressure to implement the agreement,” he added.
He revealed that Yemen continues to coordinate closely with Palestinian resistance groups and regional allies, saying, “We are in continuous monitoring and coordination with our brothers in Palestine, across the Axis of Resistance, and with the free people of the world. We will respond and comment on any developments that require it.”
Yemen’s support operations surpass 1,800 strikes
Sayyed al-Houthi disclosed that Yemen’s operations in support of Palestine have reached 1,835 strikes, including ballistic, cruise, and hypersonic missiles, as well as drone and naval attacks. He said these operations “broke the equation the Americans sought to impose on the region to prevent any act of solidarity with the Palestinian people.”
He added, “What distinguished Yemen’s support front is its comprehensive movement, officially and popularly, at the highest level, with steadfastness and continuity despite the distance and challenges.” He highlighted that the impact of Yemen’s actions has resonated globally, stemming from what he described as “a moral, humanitarian, and religious duty.”
Sayyed al-Houthi also noted the magnitude of popular mobilization in Yemen, stating, “In world history, we have not seen such a massive level of popular mobilization, millions demonstrating weekly. Over two years, Yemen held 49,354 marches and protests.”
He further recalled Yemen’s decision to ban Israeli navigation through the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandeb, the Gulf of Aden, and the Arabian Sea, calling it “a historic decision” that succeeded “100%.” He revealed that Yemen’s missile and drone operations overcame five layers of interception systems before reaching occupied Palestine and that these strikes affected Israeli air traffic, forcing several international airlines to suspend operations.
Tribute to Lebanon and regional resistance
Sayyed al-Houthi praised the Lebanese support front for making “the greatest sacrifices in supporting the Palestinian people and fighting the most intense battles with the Israeli enemy.” He added, “No one can claim to have provided a level of support like that of the Lebanese front.”
He also commended the Iraqi resistance and the continuous support of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while describing the ongoing Israeli aggression as “the most brutal, criminal, and tyrannical in modern history.” He added that “the horrific Zionist crimes in Gaza deserve to be called the crime of the century.”
According to Sayyed al-Houthi, “The Israeli enemy, with American complicity, has killed and wounded around 11% of Gaza’s population within a limited geographic area — the highest percentage in modern times.” He detailed that “over 1,000 mosques were destroyed, 95% of schools were targeted, the education system was halted, cemeteries were bombed, journalists and aid workers were killed, and even the bodies of martyrs were stolen.”
‘Al-Aqsa Flood’ thwarted Israel’s plan to erase Palestine
The Ansar Allah leader said Operation al-Aqsa Flood was not a random act but came after “75 years of Zionist crimes against the Palestinian people.” He noted that prior to the operation, the enemy was escalating its attempts to “liquidate the Palestinian cause” and finalize its so-called project of “Greater Israel.”
“Before al-Aqsa Flood, the enemies were accelerating efforts to erase the Palestinian cause, thinking time had worked in their favor,” he said. “But the operation halted that project and redefined the balance in favor of Palestine.”
He warned against any attempt to compromise on Palestinian rights, saying, “To accept the liquidation of the Palestinian cause would be a great disaster for the entire ummah.”
‘Normalization is a great loss for the Arab world’
Addressing normalization with the Israeli occupation, Sayyed al-Houthi said, “It is shameful for any state that respects itself and its principles to establish relations with this criminal entity. Normalization is a terrible loss for every Arab regime that pursues it.”
He stressed that “the Palestinian cause is tied even to the national interests of the Arab and Islamic nations,” noting that Operation al-Aqsa Flood disrupted efforts to link Arab economies with the Israeli regime, including plans to transform Haifa port into a regional trade hub.
He also criticized certain Gulf states for allowing Israeli infiltration into their communications networks under the guise of technological cooperation, calling it “astonishing to open one’s systems to an enemy that spies on you while pretending to serve you.”
‘Israel seeks to exploit chaos and division’
Sayyed al-Houthi said the Israeli occupation had prepared for a new assault on Gaza even before Operation al-Aqsa Flood, pointing to “military exercises and statements that confirmed its intent for total aggression.” He said, “The enemy seeks to exploit global crises to divert attention from its crimes and pursue its agenda of domination.”
Concluding his address, Sayyed al-Houthi warned of complacency, saying the “muted response and hesitation from some Arab regimes reveal a state of paralysis in the ummah, unable to seize historic opportunities.” He added, “The scale of the American, Western, and Zionist mobilization against al-Aqsa Flood proves how deeply the operation shook the enemy’s foundations.”
