Sayyed al-Houthi calls US 'arrogant tyrant of this era'
The Yemeni leader accuses Washington of seeking to impose what he called "the authority of the tyrant" over Muslims and control them in all their matters and affairs.
The United States seeks to impose its authority over Muslims, positioning itself as the commanding force that dictates policies, said Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement.
During a speech on the occasion of the al-Ghadir holiday, Sayyed al-Houthi pointed out on Monday that, along with "Israel" and the Zionist lobby, the US intervenes in the affairs of the Islamic nation in all areas and strives to impose its authority over Muslims.
The Yemeni leader described the United States as "the arrogant tyrant of this era" and accused Washington of seeking to impose what he called "the authority of the tyrant" over Muslims and control them in all their matters and affairs, which, according to al-Houthi, poses a grave danger to Muslims, affecting their Islamic identity and religion.
He lamented the widespread compliance of many governments and regimes with the US efforts to impose its tyrannical authority, adding that some of those sides are even working to combat the sides that reject this authority.
According to Sayyed al-Houthi, some Muslim governments, leaders, kings, and princes fully accept the US authority and its efforts to impose its dominance over the nation.
He added that those who accept this authority comply with Washington's orders, avoid what it prohibits, and oppose whomever it commands them to oppose.
The Ansar Allah leader indicated that the United States dictates to those under its authority who shall be treated as a friend and who shall be treated as a foe, instructing them to ally with "Israel" and normalize relations with the occupation entity.
The US also demands its allies to oppose this or that Islamic country or group, Sayyed al-Houthi added, regretting that some of these countries adhere to Washington's orders with intense hostility.
US remarks on ME, Gaza expose double standards, duplicity: Sanaa
The Yemeni leader's speech comes a day after Sanaa's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it expressed its astonishment at the United States' continued falsification of facts and its alienation from the credibility and transparency it prides itself on.
"The statements of the US State Department and senior American officials regarding the true deterioration of the situation in the Middle East and the war crimes and genocide committed by the Zionist enemy against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip with blatant American political, military, financial, and logistical support, are nothing but a glaring example of the double standards policy and the state of duplicity of the American officials loyal to the usurping enemy entity," the Ministry indicated in a statement.
Sanaa reiterated that the operations carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) against Israeli or Israeli-bound ships constitute a "humanitarian and legal act" aimed at stopping the war crimes and genocide committed by the Israeli occupation backed with US support and protection, in violation of international law, the UN Charter, and human values.
The statement called on the United States to stop interfering in the internal affairs of other countries, explaining that the arrests carried out by the Yemeni authorities are in accordance with the country's constitution and laws in defense of state interests.
It is noteworthy that, on June 10, the Yemeni Security Forces uncovered a large espionage network operated by American and Israeli intelligence agencies. Officials revealed that the network had been active within various institutions in Yemen since 2015.
