Sayyed Khamenei calls for probe into deadly Shahid Rajaee port blast

Following the devastating explosion that rocked the Shahid Rajaee Port in Bandar Abbas, Iran's leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, issued a message on Sunday evening addressing the tragedy.
In his statement, Ayatollah Khamenei extended his condolences to the families mourning the loss of loved ones after the incident. He also commended the citizens who responded swiftly by donating blood to assist the many injured.
The leader called on security and judicial authorities to undertake a thorough investigation to uncover the cause of the disaster. He stressed the importance of identifying "any case of negligence or deliberate actions."
The explosion occurred on Saturday when a fuel tanker detonated at the Shahid Rajaee Port in Iran's southern Hormozgan Province. While the reasons behind the blast remain under investigation, the tragedy has already claimed 40 lives and left more than 900 people injured.
Authorities continue to work at the site as the investigation unfolds.
