Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sayyed Ali Khamenei, has rejected as "sheer lies" the claim that the Islamic Republic of Iran sent a message to the US president via the Saudi Crown Prince recently.
The Iranian Leader delivered a speech about ongoing issues in the country, the region, and the world, as the Iranian nation marked the Basij Day.
In his speech on Thursday, Sayyed Khamenei highlighted that the Iranian people defeated the United States and Israeli occupation “without a doubt” during the 12-day war in June, emphasizing that Washington “was unable to deceive the Iranian people, despite its military capabilities.”
In this context, he stressed that a country like Iran requires greater mobilization than most nations due to foreign ambitions and interventions, encouraging the promotion of this mobilization concept across generations and reminding all governmental bodies to operate in a mobilized manner.
To this end, Sayyed Khamenei called on the Iranian people to support President Masoud Pezeshkian and his government, describing their responsibilities as “immense" and urging national unity in the face of external adversaries, despite differences among political factions.
Sayyed Khamenei praises mobilization efforts in Iran
In his address, he praised the Basij forces for their efforts across various fields, as well as for their faith and piety, while underscoring their significant role in Iranian society, describing them as a vital asset for the country. Sayyed Khamenei commended their stance against global bullying and their efforts in building a resistance force against what he called global arrogance.
The Basij is a mass mobilization volunteer force in Iran, originally formed after the 1979 revolution, that operates under the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps. It engages in social, cultural, and security activities, including community service, moral enforcement, and supporting national defense initiatives.
The Iranian leader also noted that while the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps may represent the official face of mobilization, any patriotic group contributing to the nation is considered part of this effort.
He further praised the scholars who were martyred during the 12-day aggression, saying they exemplified the dedication of loyal mobilizers even if they were not formally involved in mobilization efforts. He insisted that the culture of mobilization and resistance must continue across generations, asserting that the global community of the oppressed will recognize support and witness their voices amplified.
US backing Israeli aggression across the region
Regarding the war on Iran waged by "Israel", Sayyed Ali Khamenei stated that the country has demonstrated its resilience and capability, standing firm without yielding. He also rejected claims that Iran had attempted to send messages to the United States through Saudi Arabia.
He noted that the Zionist enemy suffered significant material losses from Iranian strikes and added that the United States was also defeated despite deploying its most advanced military equipment against the Iranian nation.
The leader of Iran asserted that "Israel" could not commit these atrocities without US support, noting that "Israel" carries out attacks on Lebanon, Syria, Gaza, and the West Bank with US backing.
In this context, he warned that US intervention worldwide is gradually leading to its isolation and diminishing influence.
