Sayyed Nasrallah, Bagheri Kani discuss Gaza, Lebanon fronts
Iranian media report that Bagheri Kani arrived on Tuesday morning in the Syrian capital, Damascus.
Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah met Tuesday with Iran's Acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, they reviewed the latest political and security developments in the region, particularly on the Gazan and Lebanese fronts, and discussed proposed solutions and potential scenarios regarding the evolving situation.
Bagheri Kani had met with Palestinian faction leaders on Monday, reaffirming Iran's continued support for the Resistance in Palestine and the region.
On the sidelines of his official visit to Lebanon, the top Iranian diplomat told a delegation from the Palestinian factions that the Palestinian cause remains a top priority for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He also met with the Caretaker Lebanese Foreign Minister, Abdallah Bou Habib, where he emphasized that Iranian-Lebanese relations are a key indicator of stability in the region, and reiterated his country's longstanding support for security and stability in Lebanon.
Later, Bagheri Kani met with the speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, as well as the Caretaker Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati.
A statement from the Lebanese government said the officials discussed bilateral relations between Tehran and Beirut, as well as the situation in southern Lebanon.
In a press conference held at the Iranian embassy in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, Bagheri Kani emphasized that Lebanon "is the cradle of resistance," affirming the strong relationship between the Lebanese and Iranian peoples.
Iranian media reported that Bagheri Kani arrived on Tuesday morning in the Syrian capital, Damascus, where he is planned to meet with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and Foreign Minister Faisal al-Mekdad as part of his regional tour.
