Sayyed Nasrallah acts upon his words: Israeli media
An Israeli professor and expert on Syrian and Lebanese affairs warns the Israeli occupation against Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's words, warning "Tel Aviv" that he will act upon them.
Israeli media once again commented on Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's threats regarding the Israeli occupation's violations against Lebanon's sovereignty over its maritime borders, as well as the video published by the resistance's military media on Sunday.
The video in question showed footage of the drillship and the floating production unit alongside information pertaining to the specifics of their geolocation, giving their coordinates, information regarding the origin, and details of the ships at sea based on the flags they bear. Moreover, the video displayed the exact distance of each ship from Lebanese shores.
Israeli expert and professor on Syrian and Lebanese affairs at the University of Tel Aviv, Eyal Zisser, told Israeli 103FM radio station: "When Nasrallah says he will act, history shows that he kept his word."
"This is the first time that Nasrallah talks this way since 2006, and that is why I say that this must be taken seriously," Zisser underlined.
"From Nasrallah's standpoint, there will be no agreement unless the two parties are capable of finding a mechanism on the demarcation of maritime borders," the Israeli professor said.
"If there is an agreement and it is signed by the Lebanese government, Nasrallah will bless it and present it as if it was one of his achievements. But today, he is talking about preventing Israel from exploiting its natural resources if no agreement is reached - not only in the disputed area but in general," Zisser added.
From the very first moment, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was very careful, he said. "I believe that the agreement approved by the Lebanese government is also in his favor."
Regarding Hezbollah defending Lebanon's sovereignty, the professor highlighted that the resistance was escalating against the Israeli occupation in terms of its threats.
The US official mediating the indirect maritime border demarcation talks between Lebanon and the Israeli occupation, Amos Hochstein, said Monday he "remained optimistic" on the two sides making progress toward a deal.
Hochstein came to Lebanon carrying an Israeli proposal in response to a Lebanese demarcation proposal sent to "Tel Aviv" in June, marking his second visit to Beirut in two months.
The US envoy met with Lebanese President Michel Aoun, Prime Minister Najib Mikati, and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri at the presidential palace in Baabda.

Hochstein arrived in Beirut on Sunday, stressing that he wanted to reach a quick solution before the end of the summer.
As he landed in the country, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon military media published a video that displayed the coordinates of the Israeli occupation's gas rigs off the coasts of occupied Palestine in a clear message to "Tel Aviv".
The video displayed footage of the drillship and the floating production unit alongside information pertaining to the specifics of their geolocation, giving their coordinates and information regarding the origin and details of the ships at sea based on the flags they bear. Moreover, the video displayed the exact distance of each ship from Lebanese shores.
The video was entitled: "[You are] in our crosshair... stalling is not beneficial."
Israeli occupation Reserve Major General Amos Gilad called on "Tel Aviv" to take Sayyed Nasrallah's threats made against the Israeli occupation on Monday seriously.
"Nasrallah's threats must be taken seriously, and [the Israeli occupation forces] must prepare," Gilad told Israeli public broadcaster KAN. "If they attack the Karish rig or any other rig, that will definitely lead to a confrontation that can have many dimensions."
Warning the Israeli occupation against committing any provocations against Lebanon, Sayyed Nasrallah said there were no Israeli targets in the sea or land out of the reach of the Resistance's precision missiles.
