Israeli media reported on Tuesday that a funeral organized for casualties killed in the "Kfar Yuval" settlement was held in secret and in nighttime amid threats of an attack from Lebanon.

Israeli newspaper Maariv's correspondent in occupied northern Palestine revealed that two settlers killed in an anti-tank missile attack were buried on Monday evening, in a secret service held after dark, in fear of attacks coming from Lebanon at the northern front.

He pointed out that “the funeral was held yesterday in secret and with limited attendance, per security instructions, as the cemetery in Kfar Yuval is considered an area at risk of Hezbollah attacks."

A relative of the settlers commented on the event and said that only 10 people were allowed into the cemetery, with Israeli soldiers patrolling the grounds nearby to spy on activities in South Lebanon. He added that visitors had to wear protective gear on the way, and were only allowed to stay for 10 minutes.

Commenting on their deaths, he asked "After 100 days of fighting, is this how my aunt Mira and my cousin Barak [Barak Ayalon] are to be buried?"

He also said his relatives stayed in "Kfar Yuval" because there was "nowhere else to go", and that he believes settlers in "Kiryat Shmona" will face the same threat and be forced to return, noting that the levels of mistrust in the authorities keep deepening.
