Kursk Region Governor Roman Starovoit confirmed on Tuesday that a Ukrainian drone dropped explosives on a power substation in the Russian region, leaving seven settlements without power, but no injuries have been reported.

"In the morning, in the village of Snagost in the Korenevsky District, a Ukrainian drone dropped an explosive device on a power substation, cutting off power to seven settlements," Starovoit wrote on Telegram.

"None of the residents were injured. Emergency crews will begin restoring power supply as soon as the situation allows," he added.

The Russian Defense Ministry said air defense systems destroyed a Ukrainian fixed-wing drone over the Kursk Region.

In a statement, the Ministry indicated that "on September 26, at about 05:30 [02:30 GMT], an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using a fixed-wing drone on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation was prevented."

Russia shoots down missile over Crimea

Earlier on Monday, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev said Russian air defenses shot down a missile over Crimea.

"Our military is repelling a missile attack. According to preliminary data, air defence shot down one missile near the Belbek airfield. Work continues," Razvozhayev said on Telegram.

Authorities had declared an air raid alert across the region, Razvozhayev said at 8:57 PM (1757 GMT). About an hour later, he announced the air raid alert was over.

On Friday, Russia's Defense Ministry said the historic headquarters of its Black Sea Fleet in Crimea had been damaged in what Razvozhayev said had been a Ukrainian missile attack.

Meanwhile, Russian air defenses also saw action Monday in two regions bordering Ukraine, the defense ministry in Moscow said on Telegram. It said seven Ukrainian drones were destroyed over the Belgorod Region.
