US aircraft launched a series of fresh airstrikes on several locations in Yemen on Tuesday evening.
The strikes targeted the Water Authority building in al-Mansuriyah district, southeast of Hodeidah province, killing two and injuring several others among the institution’s staff, in addition to other areas east of the district, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported.
The airstrikes also targeted the Washhah area in the Hajjah province, in the northwest of Yemen. Our correspondent said that US aircraft targeted a healthcare center and a school in the area.
Moreover, the US renewed airstrikes on the coastal city of Hodeidah, located on the Red Sea, in western Yemen.
Additionally, US aircraft carried out repeated airstrikes on the Saadah province in northern Yemen, causing material damage, but no precise human casualties have been reported so far.
The airstrikes came after the Yemeni Armed Forces' Air Defense Force successfully downed an American MQ-9 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
The US drone was downed by Yemeni air defenses using a domestically produced surface-to-air missile while it was conducting hostile operations over Marib province in northeastern Yemen on March 31.
The operation marks the 16th confirmed downing of an MQ-9 UAV by the YAF since the Israeli aggression on Gaza began in late 2023.
The Yemeni Military Media released footage of the successful downing of a US MQ-9 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) by the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF).

Spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree stressed that the YAF will continue to bar Israeli-affiliated vessels from sailing in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea. He also reaffirmed Yemen's steadfast position of supporting the Palestinian people until the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip is halted.
As for the continued American aggression on Yemen, Saree asserted that the YAF will not hesitate when it comes to executing defensive operations against hostile vessels in the coming days.
15 civilians killed in US airstrikes on Sanaa, Hajjah
Earlier, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that US warplanes launched airstrikes on Kamaran Island in the Red Sea, westernmost Yemen.
In turn, the Health Ministry in Yemen announced that 15 civilians were killed in US airstrikes on the Sanaa and Hajjah governorates.
Two people were killed, while a child was injured, in the US targeting of a Hilux vehicle in the al-Tour area, located in the Bani Qais district in the Hajjah Governorate, the ministry detailed.
The US claims to have taken military action in the Red Sea to open up shipping lanes in the Middle East. However, the aggression comes after "Israel" resumed its genocidal war on Gaza, which in turn led the YAF to renew its naval operations.
