Syria, Russia Discuss Ways to Boost Trade
Syria and Russia discuss, through representatives, the mechanisms for implementing commercial cooperation in different areas.
Russian and Syrian officials discussed ways to boost trade between the two countries, including trade with the Russian Republic of Crimea, aiming to increase the presence of Syrian products in the Russian market.
The Al-Watan newspaper reported that the Assistant Minister of Economy for Economic Development, Rania Ahmed, discussed with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Republic of Crimea, Georgy Moradov, mechanisms to implement commercial operations that will contribute to developing trade exchange.
Hence, the economy of both states would be boosted through the marketing of their products, which would encourage industrialists and farmers to pursue their work and production.
Ahmed also stressed that the meeting aims to set basic points for the presence of Syrian products in the Russian and Crimean markets, including citrus fruits and apples.
She emphasized the need to search for the most suitable prices for the joint goods and products to match the specifications and quality required to ensure the sustainability of bilateral trade exchange, enhancing the role of the private sector in this field.
