Syria: Israeli aggression martyrs two in vicinity of Damascus
A Syrian military source says an Israeli attack was carried out from the direction of south Beirut and targeted the vicinity of Damascus.
Two Syrian citizens were martyred, at dawn Monday, as a result of Israeli aggression that targeted some points in the country's southern region.
A military source told Syrian news agency SANA that "Israel" carried out air aggression from the direction of south of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, targeting some points in the vicinity of Damascus, as air defenses confronted the aggression's missiles and shot down most of them.
The source pointed out that the Israeli aggression resulted in the martyrdom of two civilians and caused some material losses.
It is noteworthy that on January 24, three Syrian soldiers were martyred as a result of an Israeli missile attack on some points in the vicinity of Damascus.
Syria has repeatedly appealed to the UN Security Council to put pressure on "Israel" to stop its systematic violation of Syrian sovereignty.
