Tehran summons UK, French, German Ambassadors over attack stance

The Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned the ambassadors of the United Kingdom, Germany, and France to Tehran for their nations' "irresponsible" position on Iranian retaliatory strikes against "Israel", according to Iranian media on Sunday.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry's director for Western Europe criticized European countries for using double standards by not criticizing the Israeli occupation's bombing of the Iranian embassy in Damascus.
A video conference will be held later today by leaders from the G7 to discuss the Iranian retaliation on "Israel", Italy, the current holder of the rotating presidency of the group, said.
As Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni condemned the attack, stressing that she fears "destabilization of the region", the country's government said, "The Italian presidency of the G7 has summoned G7 leaders for a video conference early this afternoon."
Earlier, Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force announced that it targeted Israeli positions in occupied Palestine with dozens of drones and missiles, as part of the retaliatory response to the malicious Israeli crime against the Iranian embassy in Syria.
The New York Times cited two Israeli officials as saying that Iran launched 185 drones, 36 cruise missiles, and 110 surface-to-surface missiles. The officials confirmed that most of the launches originated from Iranian territory, noting that a small portion were from Iraq and Yemen.
Israeli media: Iran response deterred 'Israel', collapsed barrier
The Israeli government is confronted with a difficult dilemma, to "contain" Iran's response, or to launch another attack against the Islamic Republic and risk escalation after the IRGC directly struck its internal front for the first time, the Israeli Walla! news site said in a Sunday report.
Accoridng to the outlet, by opposing an Israeli response, US President Joe Biden "has placed the Israeli government against difficult choices."
A high-ranking officer in the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) has cautioned that if "Israel" carries out any more military attacks on the country's territory, then Iran will respond with a more significant retaliation.
Talking to Press TV, the senior IRGC commander warned that any attack on Iranian soil would see a response with "twice the force".
The Israeli broadcasting authority said that the security cabinet is set to make a decision on how to react to Iran's military response today.
The cabinet also delegated Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Security Minister Yoav Gallant, and Minister Benny Gantz to formulate a decision.
Later today, the Israeli cabinet is expected to meet to decide on a response, the Israeli Army's spokesperson said.
