Tehran to announce its take on JCPOA deal after examining US response
The Iranian Foreign Minister confirms that Tehran is carefully studying the US response to the proposed nuclear deal.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Sunday that Tehran is "now carrying out a careful examination of the US response" to the proposed nuclear deal.
During a call with Omani Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Al-Busaidi, in which both discussed bilateral and regional issues and the latest developments in the nuclear negotiations, Amir-Abdollahian said that "once the examination of the US response is completed, Iran will announce its take on the nuclear deal."
He stressed that "we are determined to reach a good and sustainable agreement."
For his part, Al-Busaidi expressed his appreciation for "Iran's constructive, responsible efforts and good intentions to reach a fair agreement," according to a statement issued by the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
On his part, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani announced earlier today that the nuclear negotiations were "moving forward on a positive track."

He stressed that the remaining issues in the negotiations are related to the lifting of sanctions, "which are a few, but they are fundamental, delicate, and decisive." He also said that Tehran could not specify a timeframe for responding to the US proposals regarding the nuclear agreement, considering that negotiations are so far proceeding positively.
He said, "We will respond to the US proposals after completing their examination, but we cannot provide a specific timeframe."
Kanaani concluded his remarks with the hopes that "Washington will act rationally and make a political decision that guarantees our legitimate interests and demands."
