Israeli newspaper Maariv said that Hamas successfully caught the world's top intelligence agencies off guard and took control of proceedings for several hours, describing this as an event that will not be erased from the minds of regional players.

The newspaper also said that until a few moments, "Israel" was convinced that it had the upper hand over the Palestinian Resistance, adding that Hamas has now mocked "Israel's" security apparatus.
