Thousands in Iran flock to Kerman to pay respects to Martyr Soleimani
A crowd of socially diverse Iranians converge in Kerman to express their respect and reverence for the late Iranian General.
Paying homage to the memory of the late IRGC commander General Qassem Soleimani thousands of Iranians converged on the southeastern province of Kerman to express their respect and reverence for his efforts in defeating terrorism in the region.
Kerman, General Soleimani's hometown and the place where he was laid to rest, was abound with admirers of the martyr from different paths of life on his fourth martyrdom anniversary.
Kerman local authorities announced that a series of events will be organized as part of his martyrdom anniversary, including 1,300 distinguished experts and lecturers participating in discussions highlighting the sacrifices and legacy of the late commander. Additionally, 13 discussion forums are planned, along with the printing of 1,000 volumes of books centered on General Soleimani's character and teachings.
The late leader of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps' al-Quds Force dedicated his life's work to supporting Resistance factions across West Asia, ensuring their steadfast resilience in the face of Israeli occupation forces, US-backed wars, and a wave of terrorism that flooded Iraq and Syria.
The late leader was assassinated via an American drone strike which also led to the martyrdom of Iraqi Resistance leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and several other comrades, on January 3, 2020.
Both martyrs played a pivotal in organizing regional anti-terrorism armed groups to defeat ISIS and roll back its proliferation.

Sayyed Khamenei: Soleimani's legacy is the resilience of Axis of Resistance
Earlier this week, ahead of the fourth anniversary of the martyrdom of Lt. General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, Iranian leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei met with the family of martyr Soleimani.
During the meeting, Sayyed Khamenei praised and appreciated the efforts of Brigadier General Esmail Qaani, the Commander of the IRGC Quds Force, emphasizing the need to continue the path of strengthening the resistance front.
Sayyed Khamenei affirmed that the resistance and steadfastness of Gaza for almost three months "can be attributed to the existence of the resistance front."
The Iranian leader highlighted the significant role and service of martyr Soleimani in reviving the resistance front in the region. Martyr Soleimani's daughter, Zainab, also briefed Sayyed Khamenei on steps taken to convey the thoughts of the martyr to the younger generations.

During an event held in memory of al-Quds Martyr Qassem Soleimani in Lebanon earlier this week, Member of Hamas' political bureau and senior representative of the movement in Lebanon, Osama Hamdan, said that the role, action, and impact that martyr Soleimani had on the ongoing developments of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood can never go unnoticed.
The official also pointed to the role of those who worked alongside him to advance the capabilities of the Resistance, including comrades and subordinates. Hamdan stressed that martyr Soleimani "carried the Palestinian cause" to every battlefront he commanded or worked in.
