This came as the spokesperson for the Qatari Foreign Ministry announced, citing the mediators, that an agreement had been reached on all terms of the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire, which would lead to the end of the war, Israeli withdrawal, entry of aid, and a prisoner exchange.
In later remarks to Fox News, Trump said that what follows the first phase will be "people getting along and Gaza will be rebuilt," further stressing that the reconstruction of the Strip will be facilitated by its neighboring countries, which have "tremendous wealth."
The US president also informed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he will be visiting "Israel" on Sunday to give a speech at the Knesset.
Regarding Israeli captives, he said their release will most probably take place on Monday.
On 'Israel's' withdrawal
At the same time, Israeli media reported that the agreement will be signed on Thursday, with the release of the first batch of captives expected on Saturday or Sunday.
The reports indicated that Israeli military commanders have adjusted their schedules and held early morning meetings in preparation for a withdrawal to the “yellow line,” in line with the new field mechanisms.
Additionally, Netanyahu's office confirmed that the government will convene on Thursday to approve the Gaza agreement. Israeli media also noted that a full agreement has been reached on the maps, while some details concerning the lists of prisoners are still under discussion.
Meanwhile, a senior White House official told Al Mayadeen that "Israel" will be required to withdraw to the demarcation line after the Israeli government approves of the agreement.
The withdrawal, according to the official, will take less than 24 hours, after which the 72-hour period will begin.
Gaza Media Office warns of continued Israeli aggression
In Gaza, the Government Media Office called on the Palestinian people to exercise the highest levels of caution during movement, stressing the importance of awaiting an official announcement from the competent Palestinian authorities before feeling fully reassured.
The office urged citizens not to move along al-Rashid and Salah al-Din streets or in their surrounding areas until the field situation becomes clear, as residents of the Strip await the implementation of the agreement and a complete halt to the bombardment.
