US President Donald Trump said Wednesday he was still undecided about joining "Israel's" strikes on Iran, claiming that Tehran now seeks negotiations at the White House but may have delayed too long.
Trump mentioned he would hold a second Situation Room meeting in as many days with his national security team, leaving the world guessing about whether he would authorize military action against Iran.
"I may do it, I may not do it. I mean, nobody knows what I'm going to do," Trump told reporters during the unveiling of one of two giant new flagpoles at the White House. "I can tell you this, that Iran's got a lot of trouble, and they want to negotiate."
He added, "the next week is going to be very big" in determining Iran's future.

No final decision yet
Despite speculation, Trump emphasized he had not made a final decision.
"I have ideas as to what to do, but I haven't made a final [decision]," he told reporters in the Oval Office.
"I like to make the final decision one second before it's due, because things change. Especially with war."
Mixed signals from the White House
Trump delivered contradictory messages toward Iran. A day after calling Iranian Leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei an "easy target," Trump told AFP that a change of leadership in Tehran "could happen."
Tehran rejects US pressure
Trump’s comments came after Iran's Leader Sayyed Khamenei rejected US demands for unconditional surrender and warned Washington of "irreparable damage" if it intervenes militarily.
In response to Trump’s claims that Iran sought talks, Tehran strongly denied the allegation. "No Iranian official has ever asked to grovel at the gates of the White House," Iran's mission to the UN stated on X.
Trump aligns with 'Israel' on Iran strikes
Following "Israel's" strikes on Iran six days ago, Trump aligned with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and is now weighing potential US military involvement. Trump said he had told Netanyahu to "keep going" with the attack and confirmed they were communicating daily.
US possesses bombs to strike Fordow
Trump highlighted that the US possesses "bunker buster" bombs capable of striking Iran's Fordow nuclear facility, but pointed out, "that doesn't mean I'm going to do it at all."
He repeated his stance on pushing for Iran's surrender. "That means I've had it, okay? I've had it. I give up, no more. We go and blow up all the nuclear stuff."
Putin's mediation offer rebuffed
Trump dismissed Russian President Vladimir Putin's offer to mediate in the "Israel"-Iran confrontation, urging Moscow to focus on its own conflict in Ukraine first.
"He actually offered to help mediate. I said 'do me a favor, mediate your own. Let's mediate Russia first, okay? You can worry about this later,'" Trump said.
