Two Israeli occupation forces reservists arrested for spying for Iran
The primary suspect, 21-year-old Yuri Eliasfov, served in the IOF's Iron Dome air defense unit.
The Israeli police and the Shin Bet security agency detained two reservists of the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on accusations of espionage for Iran. The suspects allegedly provided sensitive information about Israeli military operations to Iranian intelligence in exchange for monetary compensation, according to Israeli news reports.
The primary suspect, 21-year-old Yuri Eliasfov, served in the IOF's Iron Dome air defense unit. During his service, Eliasfov allegedly began transferring classified military materials to Iranian handlers in September 2024, using sensitive information he accessed while on duty.
A police statement revealed that Eliasfov eventually managed to recruit his friend, Georgi Andreyev, into the espionage scheme, establishing contact between Andreyev and Iranian operatives.

Eliasfov's co-conspirator, Georgi Andreyev, also 21, served at the Kirya military headquarters in Tel Aviv, another strategic location of "Israel's" military apparatus. Together, they are accused of transferring secret information that could have jeopardized the IOF's security.
Both suspects are facing serious security charges, including the transfer of classified information and collaborating with foreign agents. Authorities have stated that prosecutors will file formal indictments against them in the coming days.
