Two killed in terrorist car bomb explosion in Syria's Deir Ezzor
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reports that several individuals were wounded in the terrorist attack.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Syria reported on Saturday that two individuals were martyred as a result of a terrorist car bomb explosion in the al-Qusour neighborhood of the city of Deir Ezzor in the eastern part of the country.
The terrorist attack also resulted in several injuries among those who were in the vicinity of the explosion, which took place around noon.

Syria's Ministry of Defense confirmed last month the destruction of a headquarters belonging to terrorist groups in the rural areas of Deir Ezzor and Tadmor (Palmyra), in a joint operation with Russian forces.
The strikes targeted terrorist sites and their vehicles, leading to the killing of dozens of terrorists, including senior ISIS members.
The Syrian Arab Army continues to target terrorist organizations in various locations across the country, with a focus on Idlib and the rural areas of Aleppo and Homs, in addition to al-Bukamal, as terrorist attacks against civilians and military personnel witnessed an uptick not seen in years.

Major General Ali Mamlouk, the National Security Advisor at the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Syrian Republic, and Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Russian Security Council, held a meeting in April, during which counter-terrorism efforts were discussed among other issues.
Mamlouk highlighted the resilience of the Syrian people under President Bashar al-Assad's leadership, coupled with the sacrifices of the Syrian Arab Army and the support from Russia, which have effectively thwarted terrorist organizations' plots.
In this context, Patrushev emphasized the significance of the agreements inked between both parties, underscoring their continued relevance as guiding principles for collaborative efforts.
