Syria fends off simultaneous Israeli aggression, HTS terrorist attacks

Syrian air defenses have intercepted several Israeli aerial targets launched from the direction of the occupied Golan.

Israeli occupation forces launched an aerial attack from the occupied Syrian Golan on several points in the Syrian capital Damascus, a Syrian military source told the state-owned Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) on Sunday night.

The attack resulted in two injuries among civilians and few material losses, the source added. Syrian air defense systems intercepted several aerial targets in the attack on the Syrian capital.

Concurrently, the terror organization, Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), launched a large-scale attack on the Syrian Arab Army's (SAA) positions in Jabal al-Zawiyah in southern Idlib. Syria's Armed Forces foiled the attack, while artillery units targeted several HTS supply lines.

Syrian media outlets also reported that the SAA's artillery units successfully targeted a multiple rocket launcher that was on stand-by to fire, destroying it and killing its operators.

Syria fends off terrorists, Israelis, and Americans

These sites have been the subject of multiple attacks by terrorists this week, the last of which was launched by al-Turkestan al-Ghuraba Brigade and al-Nusra terrorists. Reportedly, in the attack on March 29, 28 to 40 terrorists were eliminated by units of the Syrian Arab Army.

It is worth noting that this attack also coincided with a large-scale Israeli aerial aggression on the Syrian city of Aleppo.

Moreover, Syria was the target of multiple attacks carried out by the Israeli occupation forces and the United States military, as well as terrorists.

Sources told Al Mayadeen that on March 26, US and Israeli forces launched 10 "joint-terror" attacks on four areas in eastern Syria, resulting in the martyrdom and the injury of civilians and soldiers.

The Iranian Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported that a military advisor of the Islamic Revolution's Guard Corps (IRGC) was martyred in the US attacks on eastern Syria.

On March 28, two civilians in a residential building in the countryside of Damascus sustained injuries due to an Israeli attack, Syrian-based news agency SANA reported.

On March 31, Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Syria reported that Israeli shelling targeted the Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of Daraa province in southern Syria, causing material damage.

Our correspondent pointed out that the Israeli aggression followed the overflight of a drone through Syrian airspace toward the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.
