Additionally, Zakharova asserted that Russia stands with Syria's leadership and people, reaffirming its support for the country's sovereignty and unity while backing efforts to combat terrorism and restore order.
Significantly, the spokeswoman also mentioned that the guarantors of the Astana process continue to maintain communication in light of the recent developments in Syria.
Ukrainian special services training terrorists in Syria: Military rep.
A representative from a private military firm studying drones in Syria confirmed to RIA Novosti that terrorists in Syria have been trained by Ukrainian instructors.
The representatives drew parallels to observations made during his time in Ukraine to those in Syria, confirming with "absolute certainty" that Ukrainian instructors have been training Syrian terrorists, whose insurgence was recently reactivated.
"I was in the zone of the special military operation [in Ukraine] and saw how UAVs work there. Now that I am here, I see that the militants are using the same tactics as the Ukrainians," he stated.
Based on his observations, the representative suggested that Ukrainian special services were present in the Idlib de-escalation zone.
He further noted that the terrorists have been deploying Kamikaze drones at night, indicating that the UAVs are now equipped with night vision or thermal imaging cameras, a tactic commonly used by Ukrainian forces against the Russian Armed Forces.
"The most interesting thing is that each [drone] sample has writings in English, which is not typical for militants of Arab origin," he also highlighted.
