UN calls on an investigation into Darya Dugina's assassination
The spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is urging a probe into the facts behind how Alexander Dugin's daughter was murdered.
After the assassination of Darya Dugina, the daughter of Russian political thinker Alexander Dugin, the UN is calling for an "investigation to establish the facts” behind the assassination of the Russian journalist, according to Stephane Dujarric, the spokesman for Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Monday.
The Russian permanent representative to the UN, Vassily Nebenzia, remarked that the car bombing that killed Dugina, exposing the true nature of the Ukrainian state and the UN Security Council, will be briefed about in the coming meeting.
The attack “clearly demonstrates the nature of the Ukrainian state,” the ambassador said. “The connection between their saboteurs and this murder is obvious, and has already been revealed by the FSB.”
On Sunday, a large explosion tore into an SUV on a highway 20 km away west of Moscow, instantly killing its driver, who was identified as political commentator Darya Dugina.
Following the killing, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said if the allegation of a Ukrainian connection to the death of journalist and political analyst Darya Dugina is confirmed by the appropriate authorities, Kiev is engaging in its policy of state terrorism.
"The Russian law enforcement authorities are investigating the death of Darya Dugina. If the Ukrainian trace is confirmed, and this version was voiced by DPR head Denis Pushilin, and it must be verified by the competent authorities, then we are talking about the policy of state terrorism implemented by the Kiev regime," Zakharova wrote on Telegram.

The suspect & the Azov regiment
On Monday, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) released a video of Ukrainian national Natalya Vovk, who has been designated as the main suspect in Saturday's car bombing in Moscow that killed journalist Darya Dugina.
The video released on Monday shows Vovk and her teenage daughter entering the building where Dugina lived, and simultaneously fleeing the country after the assassination.
The FSB named Vovk, 43, as the primary suspect in Dugina's murder on Monday.

To avoid detection, the Ukrainian national arrived in Russia on July 23 using Donetsk People's Republic license plates, as per FSB.
On the day of the crime, Vovk and her daughter went to the Tradition festival, where Dugina was participating, and after murdering her with a controlled explosion, they fled to Estonia via Russia's city of Pskov.
In further details, the FSB affirmed that Vovk changed the license plates on her Mini Cooper to those of Kazakhstan, then she drove to Estonia with Ukrainian plates on Sunday, following the bombing.
It is worth noting that the video presentation proved that the license plate numbers on the car were altered three times (numbers of the DPR, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine were used).
Russian authorities also believe Vovk used her teenage daughter as a cover to move around Russia more freely.
A photo ID of Vovk in the Ukrainian National Guard uniform was published on the Russian internet in April as part of a dox of neo-Nazi Azov regiment members.
