UN Security Council to hold meeting on Gaza
The UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting on Monday to discuss the latest Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The Permanent Representative of Palestine to the United Nations said on Sunday the UN Security Council (UNSC) will meet on Monday to discuss the Israeli onslaught on the Gaza Strip, as requested by Palestine.
According to Riyad Mansour, the Permanent Observer of the State of Palestine to the United Nations, the UN Security Council will meet on Monday at Palestine's request to discuss the Zionist regime's aggression on the Gaza Strip in the occupied territories.

In communication with the rotating chairman of the UN Security Council (China) and other member states, Mansour reiterated that the Security Council should fulfill its role by stopping the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and forcefully condemning it.
He went on to explain that this proposal was discussed with other members via the representative of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), who is now a member of the UN Security Council, and that member states of the UN Security Council agreed to convene the meeting.

Mansour stressed that the discussion will take place behind closed doors on Monday, with a focus on the Zionist regime's aggression on Gaza.
As the body in charge of ensuring global security and peace, the UN Security Council must condemn the Israeli attacks on Gaza and work to put an end to such horrific behavior.
