Iran condemns Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip
The Iranian foreign ministry condemns the Israeli occupation's aggression on the Gaza Strip and its assassination of resistance leaders.
The Iranian foreign ministry condemned on Friday the "brutal attack by the Zionist apartheid regime on Gaza and the assassination of resistance leaders."
Earlier today, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that explosions were heard in the Gaza Strip, occupied Palestine. The shelling targeted the Palestine Tower in the center of Gaza city.
Al-Quds Brigades, PIJ's military wing, announced the martyrdom of Tayseer Al-Jaabari, a military commander in the northern Gaza Strip.
"The occupation is fully responsible for this crime and the repercussions of its aggression and assault on Palestine and Gaza," Tehran added.
"The Palestinian people and resistance factions have the legal right to defend themselves against the aggression of the Zionist entity," the foreign ministry stressed, calling on the international community and international organizations to "condemn these terrorist acts and prevent the continuation of the Israeli occupation's crimes."
The Israeli occupation forces also targeted several observation points belonging to the Palestinian Resistance, our correspondent added.
Shortly thereafter, all of the Palestinian resistance factions issued statements condemning the Israeli occupation's aggression and its assassination of resistance figures and leaders, as well as solidifying the resistance's unity against the Israeli aggressors.
The Palestinian Resistance factions noted that any attempts the Israeli occupation makes at distracting the Israeli settlers from the domestic issues it is suffering at the expense of the Palestinian people's blood will not succeed.
"The resistance factions are capable of messing up the occupation's calculations and imposing the rules of confrontation," one of the statements read. "The unified resistance will continue spearheading the confrontation against the Israeli occupation and its criminal plans."
Ezzeddine Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, also expressed sorrow over the martyrdom of the Palestinian civilians and Al-Jaabari.
