US, Israelis don't want the war on Gaza to stop: PIJ deputy chief
The deputy chief of the Islamic Jihad Movement tells Al Mayadeen that Washington and the occupation entity have agreed to work on bringing back the captives without ending the aggression on Gaza.
Deputy Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, Mohammad al-Hindi, confirmed on Thursday that there is a US-Israeli agreement to bring back the captives held by the Resistance in Gaza without stopping the aggression on the Strip.
Talking to Al Mayadeen, he said that "neither the Israelis nor the Americans want to stop the war," adding that Washington is only concerned about an Israeli invasion of Rafah due to internal tensions in the United States and the upcoming elections.

He explained that no one has officially committed, especially the United States, to stopping the war on Gaza, even in the second stage of the agreement proposal.
On Israeli public plans to invade Rafah and "eliminate the Resistance," the deputy chief of the PIJ confirmed that a ground attack on the city "will not change anything in the equation" and that the Israelis can't eliminate the Resistance groups.

Since day one of the war on Gaza, the United States and Israelis declared a common objective to not allow Resistance groups - on top of which Hamas - to govern Gaza after the aggression ends.
Addressing this topic, al-Hindi emphasized the necessity of forming a legitimate government in Gaza on the basis of national consensus between the leaders of the Palestinian Resistance factions.

On the role of many Arab governments, as the genocide in Gaza nears its six-month mark, he described it as "betrayal to Palestine, which even Israelis did not expect."

The Islamic Jihad Movement reiterated earlier that the Resistance will continue its operations across various fronts and arenas, with a focus on Gaza and the West Bank.
In a statement, the movement emphasized that the people of Arab and Islamic nations hold more responsibility during the sacred month of Ramadan and that achieving victory for the Palestinian people is a duty of equal importance to any other obligation.
Finally, the Resistance group reassured the nation and the global community that "the Palestinian people's resistance is strong, at its peak, and will not allow the enemy to execute its plans."
