US al-Shadadi base in Syria comes under attack with missiles: Sources
Al Mayadeen's sources in Syria say the targeting is the seventh against US occupation bases in the past 24 hours.
Al Mayadeen's sources in Syria reported Tuesday explosions inside the US occupation al-Shadadi base in the southern northeastern countryside of al-Hasakah, Syria.
The sources mentioned that "the explosion resulted from Resistance factions targeting the base with missiles that fell inside it," pointing out that this marks the seventh attack against US occupation bases in the past 24 hours.
It is noteworthy that al-Shadadi base is located southeast of the oil city of al-Shadadi and is equipped for the landing of helicopters and the takeoff of all types of unmanned aerial vehicles, accommodating around 350 personnel.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq said its fighters targeted al-Shadadi occupation base in Syria with a salvo of rockets, vowing to continue to target the enemy's strongholds "in response to the Zionist entity’s massacres against our people in Gaza." The Iraqi Resistance also claimed responsibility for targeting the al-Malikia base with a drone.
Prior to that, the Resistance also targeted the US occupation base in the Green Village northeast of Syria and the US base near Erbil Airport in the Iraqi Kurdistan region.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq declared on Sunday targeting the US occupation base in Syria's Conoco gas field with a rocket barrage, in response to the ongoing Israeli brutal war on the people in Gaza.
In a statement, the group confirmed a direct hit to the military base, reiterating its commitment to carry out strikes "against enemy strongholds."
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that at least four rockets struck the inside of the base, which was followed by columns of smoke. He added that US helicopters were directly dispatched to the site's vicinity.
