US diplomatic cables warned of Arab backlash over Support for "Israel"
According to CNN, diplomatic messages have cautioned the White House that the US's unequivocal backing of "Israel" in its war on Gaza is causing hostility from Arab nations towards the US.
The deputy chief of mission for the United States in Oman, as detailed in a cable obtained by CNN, expressed concern that the US is faring poorly in the realm of messaging battles, based on discussions with "a wide range of trusted and sober-minded contacts."
The official emphasized that backing "Israel's" lethal actions in Gaza "is losing us Arab publics for a generation," viewing it as both "material and moral culpability in what they consider to be possible war crimes."
According to the report, the cable was directed to the US National Security Council, the CIA, and the FBI.
Anti-US sentiment initially pervaded countries like Syria, Libya, Iraq, and Yemen which endured the harshest consequences of US intervention and policies.
The Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) filed a complaint in federal court in California, on behalf of several Palestinian groups and individuals, aiming to sue US President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin for failing their legal obligations to prevent a developing genocide committed by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip.
US discreetly sends 'Israel' more ammunition, missiles: Bloomberg
While the US evades responsibility for Israeli crimes committed with US money, the Pentagon has discreetly increased military assistance to "Israel", fulfilling requests that include additional laser-guided missiles for its Apache gunship fleet, 155mm shells, night-vision devices, bunker-buster munitions, and new army vehicles, as outlined in an internal Defense Department list.
This arms supply to "Israel" goes beyond the publicly known provision of Iron Dome munitions and Boeing Co. smart bombs, according to Bloomberg News. The deliveries persist even as officials in the Biden administration increasingly allegedly advise "Israel" to take precautions to avoid civilian casualties in the Gaza Strip.
The specific weapons requested by "Israel" are detailed in a document labeled "Israel Senior Leader" requests. This document, dated late October, is circulating within the Pentagon.
As per the document assessed by Bloomberg News, these weapons are either presently in transit or the Defense Department is actively endeavoring to ensure their availability from stockpiles located in the US and Europe.
