We are ready for all scenarios: AEOI spox Kamalvandi
The spokesperson for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Behrouz Kamalvandi, says an Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear sites is "highly unlikely".
The spokesperson for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Behrouz Kamalvandi, declared that the organization "is prepared for any scenario in this regard, and as Iran progresses in the nuclear field, it becomes more dominant. They know that it is no longer possible to push Iran back, even with an attack."
Kamalvandi further stated to Nour News that an Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear sites is "highly unlikely". He emphasized that any assault or threat against such facilities "is prohibited under international laws and treaties."
He highlighted that Iran's official stance was articulated through a decisive ruling from the highest religious and political authority, despite some expressions of sympathy from various quarters. He clarified that Tehran has requested the International Atomic Energy Agency to "fulfill its legal obligations in this matter."
Kamalvandi explained that Tehran's goal in the nuclear negotiations is "to lift the sanctions," stressing that "if the West shows a horizon for fulfilling its obligations, Iran is ready to provide the preparations."
This development comes as "Israel" threatens to launch an attack on Iran following Operation True Promise II, which targeted critical military sites and facilities deep within the occupied territories.
This operation was conducted in response to the assassination of the martyred leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, alongside Brigadier General Abbas Nilforooshan of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, as well as the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, in Tehran.
Additionally, Gulf states are maintaining constant communication and exerting pressure on Washington to deter "Israel" from attacking Iranian oil facilities, according to three sources from the Gulf who spoke to Reuters, saying they will not let "Israel" use their airspace for the planned attack on Iran.
