West Bank Resistance launch ops in response to Haniyeh assassination
Palestinian Resistance groups announce targeting Israeli forces and settlers in multiple areas of the occupied West Bank.
Palestinian Resistance factions carried out on Wednesday a series of operations targeting Israeli occupation forces and settlers in various areas of the occupied West Bank.
The al-Qassam Brigades claimed responsibility for two shooting attacks that took place in al-Khalil.
In the first operation, an Israeli settler was shot from point-blank range near the Kiryat Arba settlement, while the second shooting targeted an Israeli military force positioned near the Ibrahimi Mosque at the center of the city.

Local Palestinian media reported that these operations were "the initial response to the cowardly assassination of the great national leader, martyr Ismail Haniyeh."
In turn, al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades announced that their fighters opened fire at a gathering of Israeli soldiers on Mount Gerizim, confirming that direct hits were achieved.
The group said the operation came as part of the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation and in response to "the crimes of the Zionist enemy against our Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank and the assassination of Resistance leaders."
Only path forward
Following the announcement of Haniyeh's assassination, the al-Quds Brigades - Jenin Brigades stated that they had targeted the Shaked settlement with intense gunfire.
Israeli media also reported that incendiary bottles were thrown at settlers' vehicles near the Migdalim settlement, located near Nablus in the northern-central West Bank.
Commenting earlier today on the martyrdom of Haniyeh, the Deputy Chief of Hamas Khalil al-Hayya said that the group's option is resistance," adding that this is the only path forward.

Al-Hayya pledged to the Palestinian people that their Resistance will continue following in the footsteps of the leaders and martyrs until liberation.
On the increasing Israeli aggression targeting the occupied West Bank, al-Hayya stated that the West Bank has been "handed over to extremist Zionists," emphasizing that "we have no option but to fight." He urged Palestinian factions to unite around the use of armed resistance as the only viable option.
