Several Arab and foreign nations, along with prominent religious and political figures, have welcomed the agreement to a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, viewing it as an initial step toward ending the suffering of civilians.
These shared positions have emphasized the necessity of supporting the rights of the Palestinian people, ensuring the withdrawal of the occupying forces, intensifying humanitarian efforts to rebuild Gaza, and establishing lasting stability in the region.
Iraq urges the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid
The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the regional and international efforts that led to the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, affirming its "Baghdad's backing of all endeavors aimed at ending the war, alleviating the suffering of civilians, and guaranteeing the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions."
The Ministry stressed "the necessity of an immediate ceasefire and ensuring the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid, thereby creating a supportive humanitarian environment for stability and security in the region."
Syria hopes for an end to civilian suffering
Meanwhile Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, expressing its hope that the agreement would help end the suffering of civilians and open the way for urgent relief efforts.
It additionally praised the mediation efforts of Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, and the United States, which were instrumental in finalizing the agreement.
Putin expresses Russia's readiness to support peace efforts in Gaza
On the other hand, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced Moscow's readiness to support any peaceful efforts aimed at stopping the bloodshed in Gaza, expressing his hope for the implementation of US President Donald Trump's initiative for a comprehensive settlement of the situation in the Middle East.
Petro blames US backing for two years of Israeli genocide
In the same context, Colombian President Gustavo Petro asserted that American support for Netanyahu was the reason for the continued genocide, pointing out that humanitarian pressure and the stances of countries such as Qatar, Egypt, South Africa, and Colombia contributed to reaching a new agreement.
Petro stated, "We celebrate the ceasefire with the Palestinian people, we look forward to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state and the right to self-determination, and we propose the creation of a joint reconstruction force alongside the Palestinians."

Al-Azhar Imam says ceasefire paves the way to Palestinians' rights
In Cairo, Al-Azhar's Grand Imam Sheikh Ahmed El-Tayeb appreciated the efforts that led to the cessation of the aggression on Gaza, affirming that God "has prepared the means to put an end to the killing of the weak and the oppressed."
Sheikh El-Tayeb also praised the endeavors of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Qatar's Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, President Trump, and all the mediators who contributed to finalizing the agreement.
He also affirmed that this step paves the way for the Palestinian people to regain their legitimate rights and establish their independent state with al-Quds as its capital.
Mufti of Oman congratulates the region on 'great victory'
In Muscat, the Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al-Khalili, congratulated the heroes of the resistance in Gaza, Palestine, Yemen, and the Levant on the "great victory," expressing his pride that the unjust siege on Gaza has ended.
Furthermore, Sheikh Al-Khalili called on "Islamic peoples to hasten to the relief of the Palestinians and to support them in this critical stage."
