The US elections have triggered various reactions on social media, with users engaging in online arguments explaining why neither Trump nor Kamala deserved to take the cake.

"Holocaust Harris", "Genocide Joe", and "Tyrant Trump" are just an excerpt of what social media users coined the American ruling elite as the 47th presidential election in the United States took its course on November 5.

The main point of clashes on social media platforms was the rejection of re-elected President Donald Trump as fear of his internal policies gripped American society, mainly reproductive and immigrant rights.

A stark pattern among Democratic voters thus prevailed, blaming third-party and Arab voters for the election of Donald Trump. However, these communities were quick to defend their choices on social media, slamming what they called "liberal entitlement" and a "lack of accountability" when it came to Kamala Harris' crushing defeat.

Kamala lost because she endorsed genocide

The director of Electronic Intifada, Ali Abunimah, has been extremely vocal on X, explaining the myriad of reasons why the Democratic Party lost the elections, starting with the genocide in Gaza.

"US regime media will not acknowledge what we all know: @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris’s insistence on perpetrating genocide of the Palestinian people sank them. This is a rare and historic moment of accountability. Genocide can never be rewarded or excused. It had to be punished."

Like many others, Abunimah attributed Harris' loss to her unwavering commitment to continue funding and arming the Israeli genocide in Gaza. Countless voters, significantly in the Arab community, recalled the demands they requested of Harris in exchange for their votes, namely the halt of all military aid to "Israel", which Harris staunchly refused to do.

Max Blumenthal of The Grayzone News referenced martyr Refaat Alareer, a Palestinian professor and writer who was brutally targeted and murdered in Gaza when he called for more swing-state and Arab community voters to abandon the Biden-Harris administration as punishment for the crimes they have greenlit in Gaza.

I wish I could tell Refaat we did it, but I can’t because Holocaust Harris and Genocide Joe would not stop arming his killers. But we did it for him anyway. pic.twitter.com/ri4bjgq9gq

Anti-genocide voters expressed their content with Harris' defeat for the same reason: They considered her policies in Gaza a red line that they were not willing to cross. Users took to X to vocalize their satisfaction with not only Harris' expulsion from office but also her entire administration, including Antony Blinken, who is now widely regarded as the "Butcherer of Gaza."

I’m glad Kamala didn’t win. The world needs to know that Arab blood isn’t cheap like they thought it was. Kamala believed she could get away with massacring hundreds of thousands of Palestinians. You reap what you sow 🤷🏾‍♀️ next time don’t commit genocide!!!

Shocker? Anti-genocide voters chose Stein over Harris

Democrats enraged by Kamala's loss also deflected and blamed third-party voters who opted to grant their votes to Jill Stein, perhaps the most vocal candidate on the Palestinian suffering and the need to end the genocide in Gaza, for Trump's re-election.

It is worth noting that Stein had only accumulated half a million votes, while Kamala was losing by at least five million votes.

Kamala Harris also lost Michigan, one of the "Blue Wall" states that has always been overwhelmingly Democratic, to Trumo after the Arab community decided to vote for the candidate who heard their demands, Jill Stein, instead of that who continued providing "Israel" with funds and weapons.

Kamala lost all of the heavily Arab and Muslim districts in Michigan.

— South End of Dearborn
— East and West Dearborn
— Dearborn Heights

Dearborn: 47% Trump; 27% Harris; Stein 21%

The Muslim Vote may cost her Michigan — a determinative swing state.

Users also highlighted that Kamala's internal policies, specifically police violence on college campuses and against students protesting the aggression on Gaza across Michigan, have also played a detrimental role in the loss of the swing state.

One user wrote, "Kamala lost almost all the university towns in Michigan… I wonder if tear-gassing all your student voters effected the election."

Arab Americans don’t owe you shit when you were willing to sacrifice thousands of our families and friends lives for four years of “ignorance is bliss” comfort until the next election.

Ask for candidates that aren’t war criminals. Don’t blame us. https://t.co/93MJ9kUNuL

Arab-American voters were intensely attacked on social media for not voting Blue, triggering counter-responses from the community, which simply highlighted that the Democratic or Republican parties were not entitled to their votes as they both greenlit the murders of their families in the Middle East.

Trump, Harris: Two sides of the same coin

In this context, it is worth highlighting that clarifications were made, stressing that satisfaction with Harris' loss is not mutually inclusive with satisfaction with Trump's win. The voters explained that Trump, like Kamala, is also a Zionist and a staunch backer of "Israel" and the violence it perpetrates.

F*ck Trump.

F*ck Kamala.

Both are Zionist war criminals!

Many were quick to point out that either administration, whether Democratic or Republican, serves "Israel's" interests, even calling the entire US political system a "one-party system with two divisions."

Arabs are not pleased with Trump's re-elections. Trump himself, during his tenure, declared occupied al-Quds as "Israel's" capital and approved the expansion of Israeli illegal settlements into the West Bank.

Palestinian Dr. Ghassan Abu Sitta, who witnessed the genocide firsthand while treating maimed and injured civilians in Gaza, took to X to make a distinction between Harris and Trump, saying, "Gone is a genocidal president too hypocritical to admit it. And in comes a genocidal president who wears it as a badge of honor."

Moreover, Democratic voters tried to justify voting for Harris by noting that Trump is a convicted felon. However, the argument failed as anti-Harris voters pointed out that she was a war criminal who should be at The Hague.

"trump is literally a felon" every single president should be in the Hague

It is crucial to acknowledge that the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza and Lebanon has escalated to catastrophic levels, with the US continuing to fuel it through the supply of armaments. The current genocide in Gaza has resulted in the killing of thousands of civilians, while millions have been forcibly displaced. Meanwhile, the Israeli aggression toward Lebanon adds to the regional turmoil, intensifying the humanitarian crisis.

However, while the elections took over the online realm, genocidal crimes were still being committed in Gaza, as Palestinians urged the world to recognize that no matter who is elected, US-supplied bombs will still be dropped on Gaza.

While people are watching the U.S. elections, we in North Gaza can hear heavy shelling and U.S.-sponsored bombs being dropped on us. Remember, whoever wins, they are all war criminals.
