YAF launch drones, ballistic missiles in striking manner: French chief
The commander of the French FREMM frigate Alsace acknowledges the capabilities of the Yemeni Armed Forces.
French sources revealed that the French FREMM frigate Alsace has departed from the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, the French newspaper Le Figaro reported on Thursday.
The frigate's commander, Jerome Henry, acknowledged that the Yemeni Armed Forces "do not hesitate to use drones and ballistic missiles in a very surprising and striking manner."
"It has been a long time since we dealt with this level of weapons and violence," he pointed out.
The YAF "are perfecting their technique. The more they fire, the more accurate they become," Henry expressed.
Speaking to Le Figaro, the commander disclosed that "all combat equipment was used on board the frigate, from the Aster missile to machine guns," highlighting the significant cost of each Aster missile at $2 million.
It is noteworthy that Sanaa and the Yemeni Armed Forces have reiterated that navigation in the Red Sea will remain safe and secure for all ships, except for Israeli and Israeli-bound ships, as well as American and British ships following the two countries' repetitive aggression on Yemeni territory.
The Yemeni Foreign Ministry in Sanaa's government reiterated that the operations of the Yemeni Armed Forces in the Red and the Arabian seas are closely linked to the events in the Gaza Strip, affirming that the operations will persist until the Israeli aggression on Gaza stops and the siege is lifted.
