YAF strike Tel Aviv, Eilat with ballistic missiles, drones
The Yemeni Armed Forces carry out major operations against the Israeli occupation military as the latter escalate its aggression against Palestine and Lebanon.
Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced Monday the launch of two military operations against Israeli targets, marking the first anniversary of the October 7 Operation al-Aqsa Flood.
These attacks were part of the fifth phase of Yemen's escalation in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese people and their resistance movements.
General Saree declared that the first operation, deemed successful, targeted two military sites in the occupied area of Yafa. The attack involved two ballistic missiles—Palestine 2 and Zulfiqar. He confirmed that the two missiles hit their intended targets.
In a second operation earlier in the day, the YAF’s UAV Force carried out a number of drone strikes on multiple targets in Yafa (Tel Aviv) and the southern region of Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat) in occupied Palestine. The strikes involved Yafa and Samad 4 drones, several of which successfully reached their targets, according to Saree.
The Yemeni Armed Forces reaffirmed their solidarity with the Palestinian Resistance in Gaza and the West Bank, praising the "heroic fighters of the Palestinian resistance across all factions." They also extended their support to the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, stressing that Yemen would continue to conduct military operations against the Israeli occupation until the end of its aggression on Gaza and Lebanon.
Brigadier General Saree emphasized that the Yemeni Armed Forces would also maintain a naval blockade until these conditions are met.
Long-range Zulfiqar missile used for the first time against ‘Israel’
A senior military source revealed to Al Mayadeen that the Zulfiqar ballistic missile, which is Yemeni-made, was utilized for the first time in targeting Israeli assets. The Zulfiqar is classified as a long-range, surface-to-surface missile, previously unveiled by the Yemeni Armed Forces.
The official stated that the Zulfiqar missile has a range of more than 2,000 kilometers, making it a highly strategic asset in Yemen's missile arsenal. According to the military source, this is the first instance in which this missile had been deployed against the Israeli occupation.
The Zulfiqar missile is also known for its advanced capabilities, including maneuverability and the ability to evade detection by satellites and air defense systems, the source added.

Yemen stands with the oppressed
The leader of the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, highlighted Sunday the escalating efforts of the support fronts in Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq, and Iran in their confrontation with the Israeli enemy, emphasizing that these fronts are heading toward even greater escalation.
Focusing on the Lebanese support front, which has been active since October 8, 2023, Sayyed al-Houthi stated that "the Israeli enemy was shocked by Hezbollah fighters, displaying more steadfastness, resilience, and bravery than previously known."
He pointed out that "Hezbollah fighters engaged the enemy at close range, inflicting direct losses," especially in recent battles where Resistance fighters are repelling an Israeli ground invasion.
Sayyed al-Houthi also addressed the notion that "if the enemy believes that killing Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, will weaken morale, they are delusional and mistaken."
He continued by noting that "the support fronts in Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen are key features of this round of battles with the Israeli enemy over the past year," adding that "such a unified support effort has been unprecedented in the last 75 years."
Sayyed al-Houthi went on to say that "the support fronts are moving toward greater escalation against the Israeli enemy," and are "focused on enhancing their capabilities in resisting the enemy and supporting the Palestinian people and fighters."
