YAF target three vessels with drones, cruise, ballistic missiles: Spox
The spokesperson of the Yemeni Armed Forces says all three operations achieved precise hits.
The Yemeni Armed Forces carried out three military operations as part of the ongoing maritime blockade against the Israeli occupation entity, YAF spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced on Monday, with all three operations achieving precise hits.
In a televised statement, Saree said the operations were "in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian and Lebanese peoples and in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance."
The first operation targeted the vessel SC MONTREAL in the southern Arabian Sea, using two drones, the spokesperson said.
He added that the second operation targeted the vessel MAERSK KOWLOON in the Arabian Sea with a cruise missile.
Meanwhile, the third operation, carried out by the YAF's Naval and Missile Forces, targeted the vessel MOTARO in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait with multiple ballistic missiles, Saree confirmed.
According to the Yemeni spokesperson, the targeting of the three vessels was due to the owning companies’ violation of the ban imposed by the YAF on entry to Israeli-occupied ports in occupied Palestine.
Earlier, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said it received a report of an incident 25 nautical miles south of Yemen's Mokha, while Ambrey said a Liberia-flagged chemical products tanker was impacted on its starboard side by an unidentified projectile 73 NM southwest of Yemen's Hodeidah.
Saree said the YAF hail the victories of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon and the steadfastness of the Islamic Resistance in Gaza and confirm their continued enforcement of the maritime blockade against the Israeli occupation entity.
He also affirmed the YAF's continuation of their missile and drone operations against all Israeli targets within occupied Palestine.
Elsewhere, the YAF spokesperson reiterated that these operations would only cease once the Israeli aggression and blockade on Gaza stops and the aggression on Lebanon is halted.
Earlier today, Dayfallah al-Shami, a member of the Yemeni Ansar Allah's Political Bureau, told Al Mayadeen that all Yemenis are ready to head to the battlefield to fight the occupation if they are allowed to reach the borders of occupied Palestine, adding that the geographic barrier is the only thing standing in the Yemenis' way.
