The Yemeni Armed Forces on Wednesday conducted a top-tier military operation targeting al-Lydd Airport in the occupied Yafa area using a Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile.
The operation, announced by spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree, successfully achieved its objective, suspending airport activity and sending “millions of Zionist occupiers” into shelters.
The operation was a direct response to the ongoing siege, famine, and aggression imposed by "Israel" on the Gaza Strip, particularly in light of recent international acknowledgment of the humanitarian crisis.
Operation carried out in response to Gaza siege, famine
The statement framed the operation as a religious and moral duty, “expressing support for the oppressed Palestinian people” and the Palestinian Resistance. The Yemeni Armed Forces emphasized the responsibility of the Arab and Islamic world to act in the face of the Israeli genocide and starvation in Gaza.
The United Nations’ recognition of famine in Gaza was also referenced, as Saree stressed that the Palestinians' suffering demands concrete action to lift the siege and end "Israel's" onslaught.
Yemen committed to the Palestinian cause
The Yemeni Armed Forces underlined Yemen’s stance as a country of faith and resistance. “Yemen is the land of the victorious,” the statement said, asserting that the country remains committed to fulfilling its duties toward Palestine and will not retreat from its position, regardless of challenges.
“With Gaza until the siege is lifted and the aggression against it stops,” Saree concluded.
