The Yemeni Air Force carried out a top-tier military operation targeting five military and strategic sites in occupied Palestine, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, announced on Monday.
The operation came in retaliation for the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the recent Israeli aggression on Yemeni sovereignty, targeting the port of Hodeidah.
According to Saree, the operations targeted Lydd Airport, a military asset in occupied Yafa [Tel Aviv], as well as Umm al-Rashrash post [Eilat], Ramon Airport, and a critical site in the Askalan area. Five drones were deployed to carry out the operation, which successfully achieved its objectives.
Saree also emphasized that the operation came "In support of the oppressed Palestinian people and their courageous Resistance fighters, and in response to the genocide committed by the Zionist enemy against our brothers in the Gaza Strip," alongside the aggression on Hodeidah port.
The Yemeni official reaffirmed that Yemen remains committed to supporting the Palestinian people, stressing that military operations will not cease until the aggression on Gaza stops and the blockade is lifted.
He added that Yemen is fully prepared to confront any hostility and aggression that seeks to obstruct its “religious, moral, and humanitarian duty toward the Palestinian people.”
Israeli attacks target Hodeidah, Yemen
Israeli media reported on Monday that the Israeli Air Force launched a wave of airstrikes across Yemen, targeting the country’s western coast, including the strategic Hodeidah region.
In a notable shift, this latest round of attacks reportedly came without any prior evacuation warning from the Israeli army spokesperson. One Israeli outlet remarked that "there was just a hint of the matter," suggesting only minimal advance notice had been given.
This marks the 12th Israeli aggression on Yemen since the beginning of the broader campaign against the country.
