Yemeni Armed Forces down US-made spy plane
The Yemeni Armed Forces have announced they downed a US-made spy plane of the Saudi-led coalition for the third time this week.
The Yemeni Amry and Popular Committees announced on Friday they targeted and shot down an American-made spy plane belonging to the Saudi-led coalition, while it carried out attacks west of Marib in the Serwah district.
Brigadier General for the Armed Forces, Yahya Saree confirmed the operation was carried out successfully with the appropriate weapon.
This is the third announcement of its kind this week. Yesterday, a Saudi warplane was forced to withdraw from Yemen's Juba airspace, in the south of Marib, after it was intercepted by the Yemeni Army and Popular Committees.
Days ago, the Yemeni Armed Forces also announced that they had shot down a US-made spy plane of a ScanEagle type while carrying out hostile actions in the airspace of the Juba area in the Marib governorate.
The fight in Marib continues and field sources have reported to Al Mayadeen that the governorate is expected to be fully liberated in the coming days.
Sources noted that Hadi and aggression forces are faltering and added that many of these forces are running away from battle and have lost all contact with some of their leaderships who are nowhere to be found.
