Yemeni Forces Shoot Down a US Spy Plane in Marib
The Yemeni armed forces announced shooting down an American-made spy plane while it carried out hostile acts in Juba's airspace in the Marib governorate.
The Yemeni armed forces announced that they had shot down a US-made spy plane (ScanEagle) while carrying out hostile actions in the airspace of the Juba area in the Marib governorate.
Yemeni forces spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, said, "The plane was shot down and it is the seventh one down this year."
"The armed forces affirm that they will spare no effort in carrying out their duty to protect Yemeni airspace by all available and possible means," he added.
Last month, the Yemeni armed forces announced that air defenses managed to shoot down a US-made armed spy plane of the same type while it was carrying out hostile actions, over the airspace of the Juba area in Marib governorate.
The Saudi-led coalition has been increasing its aggressive actions lately, with 16 civilians martyred and eight injured this morning, including women and children, as a result of US-Saudi raids on the Maqbanah district, west of Taiz governorate.
The Governor of Taiz, Salah Bagash, stressed to Al Mayadeen that the Saudi aggression "continues to commit the most heinous crimes," adding that "this shows the extent of its moral degeneration as a result of its successive defeats in various fields and fronts."
