Zakaria Al-Zubaidi announces hunger strike in prisoner solidarity
As 30 Palestinian prisoners enter their third week of hunger strike, Resistance icon Zakaria Al-Zubaidi joins them in solidarity.
The Waed Association for Prisoners reported that prisoner Zakaria Al-Zubaidi, who is currently in Nafha Prison, has announced a hunger strike in solidarity with other administrative prisoners who are also on hunger strike.
This announcement comes after around 30 administrative prisoners enter the 14th consecutive day in their open hunger strike in rejection of the policy of administrative detention imposed by occupation authorities.

This is not the first time the Resistance icon goes on a hunger strike to support his fellow Palestinian detainees: In June, Muhjat Al-Quds Foundation reported that Al-Zubaidi went on several days of hunger strike in solidarity with other hunger-striking prisoners.

Al-Zubaidi was one of the six brave prisoners who liberated themselves from Gilboa Prison last year in September and their stories are well-documented in the exclusive Al Mayadeen documentary series The Heroes.
