Insigne equalizes Maradona goals with Napoli
Napoli's Lorenzo Insigne scores his 115th goal with his team, following late legend Diego Maradona's lead.
Italian football player Lorenzo Insigne equalized Sunday late Argentian legend Diego Armando Maradona on 115 Napoli goals on Sunday, following the penalty he scored for his team in a 4-1 win against Salernitana in the Italian league, Serie A.
With his goal, Insigne, 30, who has played his entire senior career with his local team Napoli, wrote history by holding the same number of goals as Maradona.
During his tumultuous time at Napoli, Maradona led the southern club to their only two Italian league titles and the 1989 UEFA Cup.

Insigne's history-making goal assured Napoli's win over regional rivals Salernitana, advancing the team to second place in the Serie A charts, only four points ahead of the League leaders, Inter Milan.
The player will move to Toronto FC in July after signing a lucrative four-year deal with the Major League Soccer side earlier this month, giving him one last season to follow Maradona's lead and win a league title with Napoli.
The Italian has helped Napoli win three titles -- two Coppa Italia championships and one Supercoppa Italiana trophy.
