Former President Trump is set to present his economic strategy in a speech to the Economic Club of New York on Thursday.
According to The Wall Street Journal, this plan will include the establishment of a government efficiency commission, a proposal initially put forward by Elon Musk.
In recent months, Musk has frequently voiced his readiness to tackle government efficiency issues in a potential Trump administration.
Despite this, Trump expressed skepticism last week about Musk joining his team, noting that the SpaceX and Tesla CEO might be too occupied to serve in a cabinet role.
However, Trump also suggested that Musk could still contribute as a consultant if he wins the upcoming November election.
