Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming
Grand Theft Auto 6 is supposedly on its way but no details as to its release date were shared thus far.
The highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently in active development, with Rockstar Games' work on the game already "well underway."
Rockstar revealed the current state of GTA 6 on Twitter and at the end of a blog post about upcoming GTA Online updates. It's the first time the studio has publicly acknowledged the sequel's existence and progress.

With every new project, our goal is always to significantly move beyond what we've previously delivered. We're pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the series is underway.
“With the unprecedented longevity of GTA V, we know many of you have been asking us about a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series,” the post said.
“We look forward to sharing more as soon as we are ready, so please stay tuned to the Rockstar Newswire for official details.”
There's no mention of a release date, though it's likely that it's still a long way off. Analysts predicted in January that the next Grand Theft Auto game would not be released until sometime in Take-Two Interactive's fiscal year 2024, between April 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024.
PC gamers may have to wait even longer: The PC versions of Grand Theft Auto 4 and 5, as well as Red Dead Redemption 2, were released after the console versions: GTA4 took eight months, while GTA5 and Red Dead 2 took over a year.
