Over the past 24 hours, hospitals in the Gaza Strip have reported six new deaths from famine and malnutrition, including two children. This brings the total number of deaths linked to hunger and malnutrition in Gaza to 133, among them 87 children.
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent and the Gaza Government Media Office, urgent international intervention is needed to halt the worsening famine and end the "Israeli" blockade.
The Palestinian Red Crescent has warned of a rapid deterioration in living conditions. It described the situation as a war crime being carried out by the occupation authorities against over two million Palestinians, who are deprived of essential needs like food, water, and medicine amid widespread international silence.
The organization called for an immediate and lasting ceasefire, the unconditional reopening of all Gaza crossings, and secure access for humanitarian aid and relief workers. It emphasized the need to prioritize land-based aid over air drops, which have proven ineffective and hazardous for civilians.
It also condemned the international community’s inaction, stating that its silence amounts to complicity in a collective crime.

600 aid trucks needed daily
The Gaza Government Media Office stated that the Strip requires at least 600 aid trucks daily and 250,000 cans of infant formula each month. It warned that, even if dozens of trucks are allowed entry, the numbers fall far short of what is needed to address the crisis.
“Gaza is facing a real humanitarian catastrophe,” the office said, citing the ongoing blockade, closure of crossings, and 148 consecutive days of deliberate aid deprivation, including baby formula.
The office called for the immediate lifting of the blockade and unconditional opening of all crossings to allow the consistent flow of aid, food, formula, and fuel, rejecting temporary or partial fixes.
At least 11 Palestinians were martyred and 101 others injured, including two women, on Sunday afternoon after Israeli occupation forces targeted an aid distribution point on Salah al-Din Street near the Netzarim corridor, south of Wadi Gaza in central Gaza, according to Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat.
Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported that occupation forces fired directly at the heads of Palestinians waiting for humanitarian aid. He also noted that the occupation staged an ambush in Khan Younis, targeting civilians seeking assistance, killing five and injuring several others. The correspondent added that personnel from the American-backed GHF participated in the shooting at Palestinians gathered at distribution sites.
Earlier in the day, the Israeli military had announced a so-called 'tactical suspension' of military actions in specific areas of Gaza for ten hours daily starting at 10 am, claiming it was intended to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid. Since dawn, the number of martyrs in Gaza has risen to 43, including 29 people killed while waiting for aid, victims of gunfire from Israeli occupation forces.
As of July 27, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has reported that 1,132 were martyred while seeking aid and at least 7,521 were injured since late May.
