Two men found dead inside car after shooting in Louisiana
Investigations into a shooting that left two men killed in Siegen Lane, Louisiana, are ongoing.
A spokesperson for the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office (EBRSO) confirmed on Monday that two men were found dead inside a car off of Siegen Lane in the state of Louisiana, following an overnight shooting, the WAFB9 news station reported.
Officials said the EBRSO received a call of shots fired around 3 am in the parking lot of a restaurant located in the 10000 block of Reiger Road.
According to WAFB9, no possible suspects or motives are known yet, as the investigation into the case is ongoing.
This comes one week after at least 10 people were killed and several others were injured in a mass shooting in a predominantly Asian city in southern California.
On Monday, a group of US senators reintroduced a federal Assault Weapons Ban and legislation that would raise the minimum purchase age for assault weapons to 21.
It is noteworthy that the US legislation allows keeping weapons without registration or license in 43 states, which causes frequent fatal shooting incidents.
