Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi casts his vote in the early parliamentary elections and mentions that he will be announcing a major security achievement on Monday.
Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi cast his vote in the early parliamentary elections.
Arriving at one of the polling stations, al-Kadhimi put himself forward to be the first voter in the elections, adding that the government has fulfilled its promise to Iraqis and provided all the suitable conditions for the Electoral Commission.
The Iraqi prime minister called for wide participation in the elections in order to contribute to changing Iraq, also pointing out that the current elections are the first to be held without a curfew.
Al-Kadhimi mentioned that he will be announcing a major security achievement on Monday.
Today, Iraqis began casting their votes in the early parliamentary elections that are the first under the new electoral law, which divided the country into 83 electoral districts.
