Bennett in first visit by Israeli PM to UAE

Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett heads to the United Arab Emirates on Sunday, his office said, in the first official visit by an Israeli premier since they established diplomatic ties last year.
"Prime Minister Naftali Bennett will depart today, Sunday... to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Prime Minister is expected to meet tomorrow with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed," Bennett's office said in a statement.
The two leaders will discuss deepening ties, with an emphasis on economic issues that will contribute to 'prosperity, welfare, and the strengthing of stability' between the countries, the Israeli statement added.
Lapid to UAE
Last June, Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid arrived in the United Arab Emirates for the first official visit by an Israeli Foreign Minister to the Middle Eastern country.
Before leaving for Abu Dhabi, Lapid tweeted a picture of himself from inside the plane with the caption: "Taking off for a historic visit to the UAE."
