On the 88th day of the Israeli occupation's war in the Gaza Strip, Al-Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza reported that the Israeli aggression claimed the lives of many Palestinians, including women and children, while also wounding hundreds.

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) spent the night targeting Palestinian neighborhoods across the Gaza Strip using fighter jets and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) which not only claimed lives and left many injured, but also caused further damage to buildings and infrastructure.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation tanks shelled the north of the Maghazi camp in the middle of the Strip as IOF gunboats also fired heavily at the central governorate in the Gaza Strip.

Occupation fighter jets also launched violent strikes targeting the center and east of Khan Younis, located south of the Strip, as artillery shelled the city's northern neighborhoods.

In Deir al-Balah, located in the center of the Gaza Strip, 15 Palestinians were killed and others were injured after an Israeli fighter jet struck a domicile housing several Palestinians, most of whom are women and children.

Similarly, martyrs were also reported in Nuseirat, located in the center of the Strip, after the IOF struck a house, killing and wounding a large family.

It is also significant to note that since October 7, Israeli occupation forces have killed over 100 journalists in Gaza.

Resistance strikes down tens of Israeli soldiers across Gaza Strip

In parallel, the Palestinian Resistance continued to confront Israeli occupation forces across the Gaza Strip, killing and injuring multiple soldiers.

Fighters from several Resistance factions conducted operations that left heavy casualties among IOF ranks, throughout the Israeli ground invasion of the Gaza Strip. In December, the occupation expanded its invasion to encompass multiple axes into the central and southern districts of the Gaza Strip.

Even though the Israeli military command pushed a total of seven battalions into Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, it still maintains activity in Gaza City, to the North, specifically in the al-Tuffah and al-Daraj neighborhoods. Yet, the Resistance has managed to relentlessly confront Israeli occupation forces, devising ingenious and effective ambushes.
