Exclusive: Syria supports Russia because the West supports terrorism in Syria
Syria's FM weighs in on a number of issues, from the Ukraine-Russia situation to the Israeli aggression on Syria.
Today, Monday, on the 10th anniversary of the war on Syria, Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal al-Miqdad said that Damascus has been subjected to a "terrorist war", yet it "persisted and won."
In an interview for Al Mayadeen, al-Miqdad warned the Israeli occupation that the response to their aggression is inevitably coming, adding that Syria is capable of responding to Israeli attacks and that it is the one in control of the response.
The Syrian FM pointed out that the latest Israeli attack on Syria came after an ISIS terrorist attack, exhibiting the precise coordination between the two entities.
He continued, "We will not rest until every grain of sand of our country is liberated, and we do not say that we have triumphed completely, as terrorist organizations still exist."
"The Turkish regime continues to support terrorist organizations in Syria, violating the United Nations Charter," Mekdad said, noting that the "US occupation continues to reap Syrian wealth in oil and wheat, and Syria is determined to liberate every speck of soil from its occupied lands."
Al-Miqdad confirmed that the US occupation is still in effect north-east of the country, which indicates a recruitment process of militants in that part of the country.
He went on to ensure that Syria is "keen on strengthening collective Arab action to serve the Arab peoples," pointing out that the priorities of the Arab peoples must change. "I say look at our reality - we are suffering from disintegration," he said.
When it came to Syria's return to the Arab League, al-Miqdad said that he believes that many Arab countries support Syria's return to the League.

He continued, "We must correct Arab-Arab relations for the sake of development in our country, and the Lebanese Resistance is the most beloved to our hearts," noting that "we can only rest when Arab-Iranian relations are achieved, and Iran is not an enemy of the Arabs."
Addressing Israeli PM Naftali Bennett's visit to Moscow, al-Miqdad said that the visit "proves the Nazi nature of Israel and its defense of neo-Nazism."
al-Miqdad expressed Syria's support for Russia because the "wild West is no longer able to restrain itself."
He said that Syria "stood by Russia when the West supported terrorism in Syria" and that "if it were not for Syria’s steadfastness, the West would have taken control of the whole world."
"Russia is a great country and it will achieve its goals in Ukraine," al-Miqdad said confidently.
Intricate, direct coordination between "Israel", ISIS
The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates confirms the existence of intricate and direct coordination between "Israel" and ISIS and calls on the United Nations and the Security Council to take responsibility for this and not to deal with these serious risks with double standards.

Earlier, in a statement, the Syrian Foreign Ministry said that "the Israeli enemy's aggression against residential areas coming just hours after a crime committed by the terrorist organization ISIS shows the reality of the intricate and direct coordination between them."
The statement read, "It wasn't a coincidence that the Israeli enemy launched a new aggression this morning against residential areas in Damascus countryside, just hours after the terrorist organization ISIS, on March 6, 2022, committed a crime that claimed many lives of the valiant Syrian army."
The Ministry added, "The Syrian Arab Republic has warned of the repercussions of the repeated and extensive Israeli attacks on Syria," and has spoken of the "heavy losses they cause to lives and infrastructure, in addition to terrorizing the civilian population, including women and children."
"The Zionist entity and ISIS exploiting international events to cover up their brutal aggression will not make falsehood right and will not mislead the world about what Israel and ISIS are doing to promote their common goals that stand naked before the international community."
